Description :PEDIALYTE SOLUTION is for quickly replace fluids and electrolytes lost during diarrhea and vomiting to help prevent dehydration in infants and children; for maintenance of water and electrolytes following corrective parenteral therapy for diarrhea. Pedialyte is designed to promote fluid absorption more effectively than common household beverages. Pedialyte is Ready To Use--No mixing or dilution necessary. Pedialyte consists a Balanced electrolytes to replace losses and provide maintenance requirements. Pedialyte Provides glucose to promote sodium and water absorption.
Directions: Refer to Administration Guide to restore fluid and minerals lost in diarrhea and vomiting. Pedialyte should be offered frequently in amounts tolerated. Total daily intake should be adjusted to meet individual needs, based on thirst and response to therapy. DO NOT ADD WATER. Ready To Use. TO OPEN : Remove protective band and twist off cap. Remove and throw away protective foil seal. If desired, refrigerate to chill. For infants under 1 year of age, consult your doctor. For children 1 year of age and older, offer Pedialyte every 1 to 4 hours. The child should drink 1 to 2 liters (32 to 64 fl oz) per day of this or any other Pedialyte product, while diarrhea continues. If there is vomiting or fever, or if diarrhea continues beyond 24 hours, consult your doctor. Use Pedialyte at the first signs of diarrhea or vomiting, rather than juices, soft drinks, sports drinks or water, to help replace lost fluid and minerals.
